Testing

Each product, made or repaired at FIMAC, is tested according the parameters stated in the acceptance specification, using a fully-equipped, dedicated rig for the equipment.
Thus, there are pneumatic, hydraulic (MIL-H-5606 MIL-STD-83282, Skydrol, Jet A-1) and aerodynamic (to simulate flight conditions up to Mach 0.8, sea level or higher, at hot and cold temperatures) benches.

The testing department offers a wide range of general purpose rigs to perform some qualification tests and experimental tests for the products during development, internally.

Among these are a gas tracer leak detector using mass spectrometers, a wide range of climatic chambers, hydraulic benches for pulse and burst tests and oleo-dynamic general purpose rigs to achieve pressure up to 320 bar and flow up to 15 l/m.

Considering the large catalogue of products that are reconditioned and repaired, in addition to those produced and developed, FIMAC’s testing department bench range spans from rigs designed and made for equipment developed some years ago, to modern benches for the new products
